The Experience
After our Mushroomburger experience, Kirsten and I decided to hit UP Shopping Center (SC) for dessert. One of the hidden gems in the SC is the Fruits in Ice Cream (FIC) stall selling the same FIC goodies you see in malls at a discounted price: only PhP 23 per scoop!
FIC sells their ice cream at PhP 65 to PhP 75 per scoop depending on the flavor. Here, they sell it for 1/3 of the mall price. I really don't know how this is possible, but it sure tastes authentic! Note: NO 500 and 1000 bills please.
Kirsten and I got one flavor each: raspberry and green tea. Their raspberry ice cream tasted relatively mild compared to the average raspberry treats (which we think is a good thing). Their green tea ice cream is the best ever! A great tasting healthy treat!
For UP Diliman people, this is a great mood lifter after an agonizing exam or simply a cool dessert or snack.

How to get there
- From LRT Katipunan Station, walk to the jeep terminal under the Katipunan Flyover.
- Ride a jeep going to UP Campus (NOT UP Gate/Balara... unless you want to walk a few meters).
- Get off at the UP Shopping Center. The FIC stall is inside an internet/computer shop in front of Rodic's.
