The Experience
Ninyo and I initially planned to have my post-compre dinner at Mister Kabab in Technohub. Unfortunately, NIL cannot go out from the garage because the streets were flooded, so we decided to have our dinner somewhere near my place. Soho was actually a quick, impromptu choice (not typical of us). We just got enticed by the ambiance and the waitress wearing a kimono. Luckily, it did not disappoint!
One thing that you will notice upon arriving at Soho is the ambiance. Tables are already set-up with wine glasses, trays, napkins and chopsticks (with stand!).
Every table is adorned with a Japanese umbrella on top, with a toy bell that can be used to get the waiter's attention.
On one corner are the Japanese toys that include a slot machine, Japanese dolls and action figures. A Japan-made bicycle also hangs from the ceiling.
We decided to get two of their bento meals: Chicken Teriyaki and Pork Katsudon. The bento meals contain miso soup, tofu steak, veggies, rice and the main dish.
The Chicken Teriyaki was tender and came with a superb dipping sauce.
The miso soup was comparable with the other authentic Japanese restaurants. It also had small tofu cubes.
Soho is one of the best Japanese restaurant experience we've had. Shall we go back? Of course. And we will take a picture of that waitress in a kimono next time.
Additional info: Soho is merged with Burgis Junction that serves Asian dishes. However, the prices on its menu are steeper than Soho's.
