The /Experience
We love Korean food and we're definitely open to the idea of getting stuffed with it! With this in mind, we headed off to Don Day: a Korean barbecue (Samgyupsal/삼겹살) buffet restaurant near Maginhawa St., Quezon City (Malingap St., in front of Pino Vegetarian Food).
Except for a few finds (like Mashitta in UP Diliman), Korean food usually breaks the pocket. At Don Day, the offer a Korean buffet for just PhP 199! We wanted to have some grilling experience in our table so we decided to take their Samgyupsal buffet for PhP 299 each.
An attendant gladly demonstrated to us how to cook and eat Samgyupsal. She even demonstrated to us how it is done. It's customer service at its finest!

We had fun cooking pork in our very own grill, and an equally fun experience eating it!
We finished two large slabs of meat, one a bit more fatty (and yummy) than the other:

It's hard to concentrate on the buffet though if you have unlimited Samgyupsal on the table (plus the distraction of having Korean dudes checking out my Hyundai Accent... NIL never had that many fans before!). With that, we're definitely coming back to indulge on their regular buffet.

How to get there
- From MRT Quezon Ave. Station (Centris Station), ride a jeep going to UP Diliman.
- Get off at Philcoa.
Note: You can also get off at UP Checkpoint then ride a UP Ikot jeep, and get off at the community park near Krus na Ligas. You can walk to Don Day from there. This is not advisable though if you're going there for lunch (too much sunlight!). - Ride a tricycle going to Malingap St. The terminal is at the corner of Commonwealth Ave. and Masaya St. Tell the driver to drop you off at Don Day near Bayantel and in front of Pino.
