The Experience

After our Coron Island tour, we took a tricycle to Maquinit Hot Spring: the only salt water hot spring in the Philippines

The ride took a few minutes from Coron Town. We find the standard fare of PhP300 round trip quite reasonable as the red dirt road was a bit steep and rough. It is already inclusive of one hour waiting time.

We got to Maquinit shortly before sunset. We had time to take some snaps of the place. We also got the perfect timing to capture our dream shot:

Unfortunately, we are not the couple in the shot. The camera was just too far beyond the remote's range. We'll be back here some day with someone to take this picture for us.

Even though we were not in our dream shot, we still got some nice sunset pics near the mangroves.

Unlike your usual sunset, the one we saw that day was tri-colored. It definitely added drama to the shots.

When it got too dark to take pictures, we spent the rest of our time there bathing in the hot spring. The hot salt water was perfect for the cold night. It is definitely a great way to end a tiring day!
