The Experience
We have been in Shawarma Snack Center (SSC) several times but yesterday was actually the first time we brought a camera with us. Battery level was low but we were able to squeeze a few more shots.
The best seller in SSC is their regular Beef Shawarma which sells for PhP55 a piece. If one isn't enough, you can get 3 for PhP120!
Unlike the shawarmas in malls, theirs is fresh and authentic. The garlic sauce is equally fresh and tasty. Guaranteed no week-old meat, veggies, and sauce for this one!
We also had a serving of their Beef Kebab, the best we've had so far. The meat is enriched by a variety of spices.
While following up our order of extra pita bread, Kirsten somehow mistakenly ordered "falafel". We were surprised to see some deep fried goodies instead of big flat white bread:
Falafel, the unintended order, was suprisingly good! At first, we though we were eating curry meat balls topped with cheesy garlic sauce. We later learned that these small wonders are actually made of peas!

- From LRT1 Pedro Gil Station, walk to Robinson's Place Manila's Pedro Gil Wing entrance.
- Find the Robinson's entrance/exit near Burger King. Cross the street and turn right to Salas St.
- Walk towards the direction of Manila Bay/Roxas Blvd. until you cross A.Mabini St. (one-way street with jeepneys) and reach Shawarma Snack Center.
