The Experience
After our wedding prep trip to AFPCOC and Eastwood Chapel, we headed off to the nearby Marikina Riverbanks for lunch. We were supposed to have lunch at SM Marikina but poor navigating skills led us to Renaissance Cafiteria at the back of Riverbanks Mall.
I was amazed how fresh their salads were. It is not very common for a budget buffet like this. Their menudo was also a winner!
Kirsten was enchanted by their kare-kare. It is way better than the kare-kare served in other (far more expensive) Filipino buffets. They also have dimsum and other side dishes.
Their wide set of local desserts, though far from being upscale, completed the sumptuous meal.
I think they also have an acoustic band play here at night (we saw a small stage with some musical instruments).

How to get there
- From LRT2 Santolan Station, you can cross Marcos Highway and ride a jeep (Cubao signboard) or walk toward SM City Marikina.
- Riverbanks Mall is just beside SM City Marikina. Renaissance Cafiteria is at the back part of Riverbanks.
