The Experience

One Saturday morning, we headed off to Tagaytay for a well-deserved chill-out session. After our sumptuous breakfast at Mushroomburger, we saw this big eye just beside Taal Vista Hotel:

Out of curiosity, we made a quick turn for a closer look. We learned that the big wheel was actually the Sky Eye: the tallest wheel in the Philippines. It is part of SM group's Sky Ranch - the newest major attraction in Tagaytay.

We got in at PhP50 each which is 50% of the regular rate. They will be having this promo until May 31. Parking is a bit expensive though (PhP50) considering the location.

Aside from the Sky Eye, they also have other rides that are a few notches better than your town fiesta perya. They also have food stalls and other establishments but most are yet to open.

Though more like an amusement park than an actual ranch, Sky Ranch also has its share of fences and horses:

Best of all, it has a nice view of Taal. You can enjoy the view in one of their gazebos. 

Though the Sky Eye is quite tempting to ride, we just don't think it's worth it at PhP150 each for a few minutes in the air. Maybe we'll try it someday when we have spare cash.

1. From the provincial bus terminals at Cubao (San Agustin, Erjohn & Almark, Golden Dragon), ride a bus going to Nasugbu, Batangas via Tagaytay.
2. Get off at Sky Ranch just before Taal Vista Hotel.
