The Experience

For our last day in Coron, we decided to climb the huge staircase leading to Mount Tapyas View Deck.
We woke up early in the morning just in time for sunrise.
Mount Tapyas was just a few steps from town, making it one of the most accessible tourist spots in Coron. Taking the 700+ step stairs wasn't that easy though as our bodies were already battered by our other activities in the past few days.
The view deck provides a scenic view of the entire town of Coron. It is best to climb up early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the scourging heat of the sun.
We preferred to climb in the morning as we can have the place for ourselves and take all the pictures we want:

The tall cross (which illuminates at night) is one of the popular man-made landmarks of Coron Town (next to the Hollywood-style 'CORON' marker).
Going down is a lot easier than going up though, especially if you're racing for breakfast! The hunger and the pain was all worth it though.
