The Experience
I wanted to try Cyma for quite some time but I'm not willing to pay for its above average pricing. Good thing there's Go Greek - Cyma's fast food version in Food Choices, Glorietta.
We saw this great find in Jack and Jill's blog (munchiebog.info) so we wanted to try it ourselves.
Many say their lamb chops are good, but we really aren't up for some of those so we tried something else. We got two of their platter sets: Gyro (mixed-meat) and Moussaka.
Both platters came with side salad and a choice of yogurt rice or sliced potatoes. The potatoes were okay and the yogurt rice was a bang! The yogurt-topped rice was great with the mixed-meat (beef and pork) Gyro, a dish similar to the Persian Shawarma (except for the pork).
The Moussaka was similar to lasagna minus the tomato sauce plus some eggplant. The taste was unique but a bit overwhelming. We had this with potatoes but we would recommend having it with plain rice.
The pita bread that came with the Gyro was filling and had a great texture. It is far from your average Shawarma bread. It tasted great with the white (yogurt?) and green (sweet olives?) sauces that came with the platter.
A bonus is the great view of the park in front of Glorietta. We got the best spot in Food Choices!
This fast food find is definitely for those who want to go Greek without going bankrupt (no pun intended)!
