The Experience

After our 5k 143Go 2 Couple's Run, we headed off to Maginhawa St. to have breakfast. Our pick was Sinangag Station!

Sinangag Station reminds me of my UnionBank days in Cebu. They had a branch near the hotel where we stay during official visits. Their 'silog' meals gives some bang for the buck! Like you usual tapsilogan, all meals come with free soup.

We ordered Tapsilog and Sisigsilog. Both did not disappoint. The tapa tasted 'real' unlike those tocino-type artificially flavored meat. The sisig was served in a sizzling plate (which helped me cook the egg to well done).
To add to the fun, we learned that our total bill for the meal after the 143Go Run was PhP 143!

How to get there

  1. From MRT Quezon Ave. Station (Centris Station), ride a jeep going to UP Diliman.
  2. Get off at Philcoa.
Note: You can also get off at UP Checkpoint then ride a UP Ikot jeep, and get off at the community park near Krus na Ligas. You can walk to Sinangag Station from there. This is not advisable though if you're going there for lunch (too much sunlight!).
  3. Ride a tricycle going to Maginhawa St. The terminal is at the corner of Commonwealth Ave. and Masaya St. Tell the driver to drop you off at Sinangag Station.
