The Experience

Unlike in Boracay where affordable quality accommodations are readily available, looking for one in Coron, Palawan was quite a challenge for us. After a lot of searching online, we ended up booking a room at Villa Hermosa Bed & Breakfast.

Villa Hermosa has several reasonably-priced spacious room. The place is strategically located in the heart of Coron Town: a few meters away from the public market, restaurants, church, and other establishments. Each room has walls and roofing made of sawali with matching native decors.

Despite the native design, each room has the basic stuff you need: shelves, locker, air conditioner, and a wash basin. You may also opt for a room with a private toilet and bath as we did.

Best of all, the establishment's creative owner and friendly staff were very accommodating. They attend to your needs as much as they can and even provide you tour options. With this much hospitality, they earned one of the top spots in tripadvisor.com's rankings for Coron B&Bs.

We'll definitely be back at Villa Hermosa. We look forward to staying in the nearby earth house (made of compacted soil) that they are currently finishing up.
