The Experience
Ninyo renewed his SM Advantage Card and he got a booklet full of coupons that can be used in all SM Malls. We budget daters wouldn't waste opportunities like this so we went to Burgoo where the SM Advantage Card coupon gives a free dish (of a lower price) for every order of one main dish.
While waiting for our meal, we were given crayons that we can use to draw on the paper-lined table. We were celebrating the end of the semester, so the inspiration for our "masterpiece" drew from there. We were having so much fun drawing that we didn't mind that our orders took long.
This is the top portion of our drawing. We drew one of our professors at the bottom, but I cannot post it here because I haven't graduated from my master's degree yet hehe.
We ordered the Oklahoma Baby Back Ribs, valued at Php 575. For our free dish, we chose the Large-sized Pizza Sampler, valued at Php 495. The Pizza Sampler contains four flavors in one pizza. For this, we chose Taco Mexicano, Pepperoni, Garden Fresh and Meatza.
The Baby Back Ribs were soft and juicy. It was seasoned with a special sauce that gave it its unique flavor. The corn and carrots side dish was refreshing.
The Pizza Sampler is a smart deal because we got to try four different flavors by ordering just one pizza. The pizza has a thick crust so we already got full before finishing the whole. We took a couple of slices home.
Aside from Burgoo, the SM Advantage Card coupon booklet also contains freebies from other restaurants like Gumbo and Eat and Go.

How to get there
- From MRT North Ave. Station, walk to the the Trinoma connection.
- Go to the Trinoma exit near the pedestrian overpass going to SM North EDSA.
- Cross the pedestrian overpass and you will reach the SM Sky Garden. Walk a few steps and you will see The Block entrance to your right.
- Take the escalator going to the third floor. Burgoo is in a corner near the front side of the building.
